Oceania Cruises' Marina to Feature 10 Dining Venues
Posted January 12, 2011
Oceania Cruises' 1,250-guest Marina, which debuts later this month, will feature 10 dining venues, six of which are no-charge gourmet restaurants. The Grand Dining Room will offer a six-course menu in a classic setting reminiscent of a five-star, European restaurant. It will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Toscana will feature three illuminated, etched-glass panels as a backdrop to family recipes handed down from Oceania Cruises' staff and crew. It will be open for dinner, reservations suggested.
The Polo Grill, with leather upholstery; a palette of crimson, gold and green; and gold-edged mahogany wall panels designed to evoke the glamour of a vintage Hollywood steakhouse, will offer prime, dry-aged beef, as well as chops and fresh seafood, for dinner. Reservations are suggested. Jacques, named for Chef Jacques Pépin, draws inspiration from brasseries of Paris and his hometown of Lyon. It is open for dinner, reservations suggested. Red Ginger features Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese flavors in a contemporary setting with three Buddhas carved from a single piece of backlit glass as a centerpiece. It is open for dinner, reservations suggested.
The Terrace Café is designed with shades of burgundy, burnt orange, gold and lemon; guests also may dine al fresco. It offers regional delicacies and buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Waves, an open-air bistro, serves gourmet burgers, swordfish, chicken and other grilled items and features a salad bar and homemade ice cream bar. It is open for lunch, weather permitting. Baristas is a coffee bar adjoining the library and serving Illy espresso and cappuccino, plus homemade biscotti and coffee cake. La Reserve by Wine Spectator is an intimate venue that hosts tastings and seven-course pairing dinners with premium wines selected in consultation with Wine Spectator editors. There is an extra charge for wines, and reservations are required. Privée is a private dining room that offers a chef's table for eight guests. The room charge is $1,000. It is open on select evenings, and reservations are required. Oceania Cruises' Marina also features a Bon Appétit Culinary Center and full-service Canyon Ranch SpaClub.
