The Rocks on Foot

Let the stories of this charming heritage-listed precinct unfold in the company of skilled narrators and friendly local guides as they entertain you with lively tales of The Rocks colorful past and fascinating present.

Explore the sandstone heritage through hidden narrow back alleys, shady courtyards and cobblestone lanes. View some of Sydney's oldest dwellings; places lived in by the 'well-to-do' and the working class, along with a visit to the gothic Garrison Church.

Still to be seen today are the pubs once frequented by locals and sailors alike and the haunts of the cutthroats and rogues. This tour will highlight the shoreline of sparkling Sydney Cove, Cadman's Cottage, harbor views of Sydney's Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, and Campbell's Cove. You will also learn about the Rocks historic precinct including George Street, Rocks Square, Foundation Park, the Argyle Cut, the Garrison Church, Suez Canal, and Nurses Walk.

Today's setting of The Rocks Village is that of beautifully restored buildings in a spectacularly picturesque, harbor-side location. This is a vibrant place featuring the finest restaurants and cafes, unique shopping, museums, galleries and weekend street markets.
