Private Biking to Pisa

This region of Italy, with its variety of roads and great landscapes, offers great opportunities for cyclists of all skill levels. Your English-speaking guide will ride with you at your pace and give you information and assistance on your Livorno excursion. You will be provided with a premium road bike, the right size to fit you, with aluminum frame and 24-speed to tackle any slope. Helmets and a bottle of water will be provided as well. A minivan fitted with a bike carrier will take you to the starting point and pick you up at the end. Maximum size of the group is eight guests.

You will meet your driver/guide at your ship and leave the congestion of the commercial port area and confusion of Livorno behind. You'll drive approximately 15 minutes to where you will start your ride in the beautiful countryside.

During the next 50 to 60 minutes, you will peddle your way to tour Pisa, with short stops along the way and commentary. Upon arrival in Pisa, your guide will show you areas of the town most cruise guests never see, including the Piazza dei Cavalieri and Lungarni, as well as the highlight of the town, the Field of Miracles, where the Leaning Tower, cathedral, baptistery, and monumental cemetery are located.

Guests will have approximately 1 hour of free time here and the bike guide will give tips, maps, and answers to any general questions about the town. During this time guests can visit the sites and have time to grab a snack on their own. The highlight of your Livorno excursion will be an opportunity to climb the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

After your tour, you will peddle back to your original starting point. Total distance biked is approximately 20 miles over predominately level roads.

Please Note: This tour accommodates groups of up to 6 guests maximum. Please take this information into consideration when booking. All guests must fill out and bring a waiver form in order to participate. The form will be provided in your electronic ticket upon confirmation. No entrance fees are included, these are optional and at your own discretion.
