This 4-hour tour will take you through ancient Naples and a world created by popular culture, not by ignorance, as many would have you believe. Along the alleyways you will find merchants offering you their amulets including the popular curniciello, or Italian Horn, that is worn as protection against the evil eye. At the Church of San Gregorio Armeno you will visit the Cloister of San Gregorio Armeno and learn why the sacred and profane are mixed here. This is the place where Santa Patrizia performs the miracle of the liquefaction of his blood yearly.

Over at the Cathedral of Naples you will find the blood ampule of San Gennero, the patron saint of Naples, that has reportedly liquified during a special ceremony each year since 1389. San Gennero is the richest of the saints, thanks to the princes, popes and commoners who have donated treasures to him over the centuries.
