Now that you have booked your Celebrity Cruise (exciting!) it is very important that you complete your Celebrity Cruises’ Online Check-in.
The information you enter when you complete your Celebrity Online Check-in, or Pre-Registration as it is also known, is required by the Department of Homeland Security prior to departure. This specific guest information is required by law, and used for internal security screening. Failure to provide this information in advance may result in your boarding being denied.
Sounds very serious, but it is to ensure your safety at sea and faster boarding at the pier! You can complete Celebrity Cruises’ Online Check-in up until 24 hours prior to your departure date.
To make this go as quickly as possible it is important for you to gather the information you need before you begin. Here is a checklist that will help.
- First and Last Legal Names (as they appear on the passport or birth certificate)
- Ship, Sail Date and Celebrity Reservation Number (series of 7 numbers)
- Celebrity Cruises’ Past Passenger Captain’s Club Member Number (if applicable)
- Contact Information (including permanent address and telephone number)
- Passport Details (passport number and expiration)
- Emergency Contact Person (name and phone number)
- Travel Plans (flight details or approximate car arrival times)
- Credit Card for Purchases Onboard (last four digits and expiration date)
Getting to the Online Check-In
When you’re ready, you may visit this direct link to begin the Celebrity Cruises Check-in process.
You may also access the portal by visiting www.celebritycruises.com. Hover over the tab in blue at the top of the page marked ‘Already Booked?’ and underneath this you can select the second option ‘Online Check-in’ from the drop down menu.
To proceed with the Online Check-in, you will need your Celebrity Cruises’ reservation number, last name, ship and sail date. Enter and click ‘Continue’.
New “My Celebrity” Online User Account Registration
If you have not done so already, you may register an online user account with Celebrity. Register once and all your information is retained here, ready for you each time you return. This is not a requirement in order to complete your pre-registration, but it will create a profile for you in which you can access your reservations and subsequently your Online Check-in.
If you already have a username and password, please log in, select which reservation you would like to manage and skip to Beginning the Online Check-in instructions below.
- Activate your account by providing a username and password.
- You will need to provide your first name, last name, gender, country of residence, email address and telephone number.
- If you have sailed with Celebrity before and have a past guest Captain’s Club Member Number, add this to your profile. If you do not know your Captain’s Club number, you are able to search for it here as well.
- Click ‘Register’ button!
You will be directed to your My Celebrity Homepage. From here, add your current Celebrity Cruise reservation by clicking on ‘Add It Here’ in blue. You will need your Celebrity reservation number, last name, ship and sail date. Once you have added your reservation you will be able to access your pre-registration. You can click on ‘Online Check-in’ in blue at the top of your page, next to ‘My Celebrity Home’.
Beginning the Online Check-In
Now just click on the ‘Continue Check-in’ box in blue, which guests you would like to complete and you’re on your way!
Save the information and proceed to the Next Guest. If you don’t have all of the information at once you can save what you do have then go back in to edit or add information later.
There are four steps to complete for each guest on the reservation:
1. Personal & Travel Info: Enter required contact and immigration information. Personal information, contact details, emergency contact, and travel documentation information including passport number and expiration date. You will also need to provide your travel plans before or after the cruise – private vehicle, flight information, taxi or other with approximate arrival times.
2. Cruise Ticket Contract: Read and accept the cruise ticket contract for yourself and guests in your reservation. You may also accept the ticket contract for minors on another reservation by entering their reservation number and last name.
3. Expense Account: Set up an expense account for onboard purchases as all Celebrity ships operate on a cashless system. Sign up by establishing your method of payment with a credit card (Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, Discover®, Diners Club®, JCB – Japanese Credit Bureau), travelers checks or cash. You will need to provide your credit card’s last four digits and expiration date. You will need to bring this card with you to check-in on embarkation day. Any time you make changes to your Expense Account Information, you must print a new Xpress Pass. Choose which guests will/will not have access to your onboard account. You can add guests from other reservations by entering the reservation number and last name.
4. Xpress Pass: Print your Xpress Pass for your departure. Sign where requested and bring with you to check-in along with your travel documents!
After each guest has provided the necessary information, you are done with Celebrity’s Online Check-in!
What to do after you complete Celebrity’s Online Check-In
Once you’re done with the pre-registration, scroll back to the top of the page. In the blue strip at the top of the page, to the left of ‘Online Check-in’ in blue, you will find ‘My Reservation’ in blue. Click on ‘My Reservation’.
This will direct you to your reservation dashboard. You will find many categories to explore: My Cruise Summary, Shore & Land Excursions, Specialty Dining, Beverage Packages, Aqua Spa, Sea & Stay Packages, Transport.
Select any category to unlock a boatload of information regarding your itinerary, ship details, stateroom details and anything associated with your particular cruise.
